Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you. --Kahlil Gibran

Speechless

February 16, 2007

He sat with  hand holding hers.

He could hear her  heartbeat

In the  great silence.

The wind comes and go

Taking their breaths away.

A little caress,

A stolen glance

Filled  with hopeful  sighs.

A little curling of the lips

That turns into a modest smile,

Reflective of the silent rapture

Hidden in every heartbeat.

They sat speechless

Amidst the noises of the world

Only with their hearts

Locked in deep conversation.

Notes About TODAY

19 Jan 07

Life is about moving on; it’s   about getting through… about rising  from  the    situation…  Life is about  living  in the present,  knowing that   the present      is the only   concrete  possession that we have  and the sole  guarantee  that  everything  in the “here-and-now”    is   within  our  power  to  manipulate, to lavish, to enjoy, to waste away.  The past resides  only   in our memory  and in the history  of our lives  that  cannot  be changed nor reclaimed.  The future   is only a hope that if  we are blessed  with more time, we  can  live out still, but   there  is no  guarantee   that   we are  all  going  to be there  to extend  the  stories   of our lives,  retell   our  past  adventures and  dream more.  Some  will  not    outlive the   present and   the only  way  to be able to actually  freely surrender  when the  time  is almost  up  is to live out  the things  that  matter –  our heart’s desire,  our hopes, our dreams,  our  pains  that purge  the  soul.  At the end of the day,    it  does not matter  if  we   have not  reached   our desired destination,   for as long as   we have,  when  we had  the power   to   consume our time, steadfastly moved toward  that direction.

Look   at today  as a valuable gift that is exhaustible.  Waste  away the time  for  the one  you love…consume the hours climbing on mountains   if   your   heart   dreams of the apex…pour out    your  soul  to    a hobby so that    that  you can recreate  yourself    or  bring out  your talent  to the world  so you  can inspire,   touch, encourage and so that   in seeing you, people     will  recognize   how great must be  the one that  gave you the breath  of life. Sing out  song when   you  feel  happy or write a poem when  you are   down in grief.  Hold  somebody’s hand, touch     somebody’s cheek, hug  somebody in sorrow.  Look around, see people and know their   silent  anguish, their hidden joy.  Listen closely  and hear not  only  what  they   say  but those  that they don’t  because  their fear  or pain or lust or grief or joy are overpowering.  Wander  around and  admire the  flowers, the trees, the birds chirping on their  nests, the  sky  above  with  the stars or the moon or  the comet or the sun… ‘cause somewhere in your  wandering  you  will  be awed and there, you  will  recognize   how far blessed   you  are to  witness these  magnificent panorama… and   you can’t  help  but be grateful  that  you are alive because   someone   in the great  universe   wanted you  to

Love so that you  will know the  depths  of pain and the heights of joy. Love  so that   you  will  experience  a miracle that is empowering.  Believe in the  power   of your faith   so that you will never  have to wander  off  from   your  chosen path.  Forgive  yourself  for the things  that you cannot   do  because you  simply failed.  Forgive    those   who broke your  heart,  that trampled  your  visions, who did not  believe in your dreams  or those who  hurt  you because  they  do not know how to value what  you  hold   important.  Spread  your  arms and receive   a hug,  run  wild  to feel  freedom  flowing   in  your   veins,  shout  so that  the world  will hear you  and take note of  you as one of the passers-by.  And stand  still and    keep  your silence  for all   that  you cannot reveal  to the world and yet    can  whisper  only   to  God.  Then wait for redemption… and  for a blessing…

The present is the only   thing  that we can   do and outdo.. The past is  only  a   history  and the future an anticipation.
